About John Mercy

I was born in England but I'm currently located in the Kootenays in British Columbia, Canada.

I have always had a passion for visual and audio arts. When I first came to Canada, in the 80's I built an 8 track recording studio and started a recording label for local musicians.

With the advent of computer editing, in 1999, it was a natural progression into the video genre.

In 2004 I completed a City and Guilds qualification in Media studies in Manchester, England, and I've made various videos for charities, tourist attractions and businesses, both in the U.K. and Canada.

Wherever possible, I try to use original music by local musicians to give exposure to the wealth of local talent.
